About

Hi, I’m Andrew Scotchmer, a writer, speaker, consultant/contractor and now blogger. This is my blog and through it I hope to show you how to reach your true and full potential by making small, gradual changes to your life.
The word kaizen is Japanese for “improvement.” It’s a method that shows us how to continually “tweak” our lives to make them better. It shows us that by taking small steps everyday we can attain a truly successful life.
Whether you are looking to find financial freedom, improve your relationships, better your career, or simply create for yourself a more stress-free and relaxed life, I hope you will find something of interest within these pages and come often.
As for me, I started this blog in May 2008. For several years I have personally benefited from using the “kaizen way” in my life. As an example, between April 2007 and March 2008 I quadrupled my income. I also wrote a book (one of my life goals) and I’m currently finishing a second (under contract). I didn’t do any of these things by following some “get rich quick scheme,” but by applying the kaizen way to my life. My next plan is to reduce the time I spend away from home to just three days a week and again, I’ll do it using kaizen techniques.
That is why I started this blog, to help others realize their dreams and to begin making small steps to a better life. One thing that has struck me is how many of us have dreams yet don’t pursue them. Hopefully after reading this blog you will find the necessary motivation to change your life for the better and do just that.
I hope to post everyday or two, so there’ll always be something new for you read. If you do enjoy my posts, why not subscribe via the large orange RSS button on the right? That way you will always know when there’s new content. If you don’t have a reader, you can click the email icon and receive my posts as emails.
One great thing about a blog is that it provides a forum for discussion. You can leave comments on a particular post and make your voice heard. I hope you will leave a few words after reading a post, even if it’s just to say “Hi.”
If you have found some success in your life then share it with us, and help us encourage others to better their lives. Also, if you have any ideas or tips, any “life hacks” you have found effective, then share them with us, by writing a sentence or two in the comments. Alternatively you may wish to contribute an article as a guest poster, in which case get in touch.
